About this course
Join us for an interactive, hands-on workshop on Edge Computing Fundamentals. This beginner-friendly session bridges the gap between software and hardware, giving participants practical exposure to real-world edge computing applications. Throughout the workshop, participants will work directly with hardware components, sensors, and camera-based systems. The session focuses on system setup, data acquisition, and understanding how modern edge computing solutions are implemented in real environments. Under expert guidance, attendees will explore how computation at the edge improves efficiency, reduces latency, and powers intelligent systems.
What you'll learn
Identify Raspberry Pi hardware components and interfaces.
Install and configure the Raspberry Pi OS onto a microSD card.
Build basic electronic circuits using GPIO pins and breadboards.
Write Python scripts to control hardware components like LEDs.
Develop web-based IoT interfaces using the Flask framework.
Interface and extract data from advanced sensors like the MPU6050 (IMU) and NEO-6M (GPS).
Deploy real-time YOLO object detection using a camera module.
Requirements
Basics of python programming
